1. What Desk is
Desk is a student-run tool for tracking your class schedule, tests, and assignments, and for chatting with classmates in your class periods. It is not an official school system and is not monitored or endorsed by your school district.
2. Your account
You're responsible for keeping your password private and for anything posted from your account. Provide accurate information when you sign up. You must be old enough to use this kind of service under your local laws, or have a parent/guardian's permission.
3. Class chats & conduct
Be respectful. Don't post anything harassing, threatening, hateful, sexually explicit, illegal, or that shares someone else's private information without permission. Don't impersonate other students or staff. Messages are visible to everyone in that class period's chat.
4. Blocking & moderation
You can block another user so you no longer see their messages. Blocking is a personal filter — it doesn't remove the message for anyone else or notify the blocked user. Desk does not actively monitor chat content; report serious issues (threats, safety concerns) to a trusted adult or your school directly.
5. Content you post
You keep ownership of what you post (messages, profile picture) but you're solely responsible for it. Don't post anything you don't have the right to share.
6. Data we store
We store the account info, schedule, test/assignment entries, and messages you provide so the app can function. Don't share sensitive personal information in your profile or in chats.
7. No warranty
Desk is provided "as is" with no guarantee it will always be available, accurate, or error-free. Test and assignment dates are only as accurate as what students enter — always double check with your teacher.
8. Account termination
Accounts that violate these terms (harassment, spam, impersonation, etc.) may be suspended or removed.
9. Changes
These terms may be updated from time to time. Continuing to use Desk after changes means you accept the updated terms.
